What a strange time the world finds itself in. Most of us are in our homes, not allowed to leave our houses to practice everyday activities like work, church, school, and gym. We can, fortunately, use technology and online platforms to make contact with extended family, friends, colleagues, and the world out there.
We are faced with fear, loneliness, uncertainty, health issues, financial needs, and sudden changes. During this time we have been forced to stop and isolate ourselves. It leaves a lot of time for thinking. What do we spend our time and energy on? Where is our security?
I have contemplated what is really important. What is essential? I have had time to refocus and rethink my priorities. God is calling His children back to Him to pursue Him again as their first love. This has been an interesting couple of weeks for myself, where I get to spend quality time with my husband and daughter and also spend more time in the Word and in prayer. I am realigning my heart to what is most important to God – spending time in God’s presence, worshiping Him, furthering His kingdom, loving, and serving others.
Jeremiah 24:7 (ESV)7 I will give them a heart to know that I am the Lord, and they shall be my people and I will be their God, for they shall return to me with their whole heart.
It has been during this last week, that God has prompted me to share God’s heart, message of hope and encouragement with others through my personal experiences and His Word. Though I have a community of friends, the Holy Spirit challenged me to think bigger. Thus, the Resolute Woman blog was born.
The fact that we are currently celebrating Easter, is no coincidence. It is a time to celebrate the goodness, life, hope and love of God because of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. Easter symbolizes the beginning of a new life in Christ as a daughter or son of God. I am thus beginning this blog TODAY. This is a novel and honestly daunting venture for me, as I have no previous experience. Nevertheless, I am being obedient and trusting God to do His will, as Resolute Woman, is His.
By God’s grace, I pray that this blog will edify you when you read it, pointing you to Christ and all He has planned for you. May you continue to grow in faith, stand strong, and be encouraged to go through everyday life empowered by Christ, no matter what you might face.
May God receive all the glory for His faithfulness and all He does in you and me.
Blessings
Talita
